Our History

Horokiwi Paving is Wellington region’s longest established, independent paving company – with a reputation for superior quality, fantastic service and reliability. Our reputation is built upon a solid foundation of thousands of successful paving projects and delighted clients throughout the Wellington, Hutt Valley and Kapiti regions.

Horokiwi Paving has come a long way in 35 years. From an owner-operator carrying out small residential paving projects when the company was set-up in 1988, to our current highly-skilled team of 10 full-time employees, contributing to some of the most notable commercial projects in the greater Wellington region such as:

No job is too big or too small, and as paving specialists, we take immense pride in our workmanship to ensure you’re delighted with the end result. We’re also happy to help you with ideas for your paving, however, if you’d prefer a drawn-up plan for your project, we’re happy to recommend or work with a landscape designer.

Our Team

 

Peter Green

Horokiwi Paving Limited (previously Horokiwi Paving Specialists) was established in 1988. Founding owner Peter Green was previously a builder by trade, self employed with a quality building business.

The knowledge gained within the building industry gives Peter the edge when it comes to your paving needs.

 

Carne Green

After returning from several bites of the typical NZ OE, Carne has returned to the family business.

Carne’s strength is his leadership skills which he has gained through years of involvement in team sports.

He is well on his way to learning every aspect within the business to eventually step into the role that Peter currently holds.

 

Sandy Green

Sandy has worked alongside Peter since Horokiwi’s beginnings. As director and office manager, Sandy covers all that happens within the administration side of the business.

 

Matt Krivan

Horokiwi’s senior foreman has been with the company for 30 years. Matt is highly valued by Horokiwi for his skills and extensive knowledge of every aspect of the paving industry. He always works to ensure the perfect job.

We take pride in our health and safety record, and all our employees are Site Safe accredited . What’s more, as a member of the Civil Contractors New Zealand you have the added protection of knowing that we are working within NZ standards to ensure a safe workplace and quality project. All our products are covered by relevant manufacturers’ warranties and you also have the confidence of our workmanship guarantee – if you’re in any way unhappy with the quality of our workmanship within 2 years of completion, we’ll come and fix it – no worries.
